About Jan Lindhe Award

The Jan Lindhe Award

The Jan Lindhe Award was instituted 2011 in recognition of persons who have made significant scientific contribution in the field of periodontology and/or implant dentistry. The contribution may be in one or more of the areas basic research, clinical research and education. An international award committee selects the recipient, who should not be older than 50 years.

The first award was presented to Dr. William Giannobile, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine, University of Michigan School of Dentistry, Ann Arbor, MI , USA at the 3rd Jan Lindhe International Symposium in 2011.

The second award was presented to Dr. Nicola Zitzmann, University Clinic for Dental Medicine, University of Basel, Switzerland at the 4th Jan Lindhe International Symposium in 2014.

The third award was presented to Dr. Frank Schwarz, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany at the 5th Jan Lindhe International Symposium in 2017.
